A family friend rang asking "Could you use some extra income?" and not surprisingly we said "Yes".
Soon after launching our Amway business, we realised that we'd need a suitable name to capture the hopes and aspirations of our new venture - but what to call it?
For many years we had been planting trees and changing the landscape of our little house block at Epping - it measured a massive 15 metres (50') wide by 80 metres (250') deep.
We saw the business offering the opportunity of realising our dream of living on acreage and planting many more trees than would fit at Epping and so we combined 'Dreams' and 'Trees' into 'Dreamwood'.
The 'International' was a natural addition, given that we saw our business including friends sponsored overseas including the UK and USA.
In 1988 we realised the dream of living on 5 acres when we moved to Tennyson in the beautiful Hawkesbury Valley district, north west of Sydney, and started planting trees en-masse.
We switched from running a few steers as paddock mowers to purchasing our first two Alpacas in 2004 and in 2005 began breeding Border Collies.
